How often do you have shop updates?

Currently I have a shop update about every 8-12 weeks. The shop is usually only open for a few days. Most items sell within 1-2 hours of the shop opening.

What if I don’t like the item that I purchased?

I try to provide accurate descriptions and photos of items that you find in my shop. That being said, all items are handmade and as such are subject to imperfections. Often clay shifts during the firing process resulting in slightly misshapen items. If you’re looking for factory-made perfection, handmade pottery might not be for you. If you receive an item and you’re not happy with it, please contact me and we can discuss a solution.

What if an item I ordered breaks during the shipping process?

I will provide a refund for the item only. Shipping charges are non-refundable. Breakages must be reported within 24 hours of receiving your package and a photo of the damaged item must be provided.

What Countries do you ship to?

Currently I sell and ship throughout Canada and the USA. You will receive a tracking number from the shipping company when your order ships. Duties and taxes for US shipments are additional to the shipping cost and are collected by the shipping broker that delivers your package. (UPS, FEDEX, etc.)

My package is taking much longer to arrive than expected.

Most packages arrive within 4-7 days within Canada, depending on your location. I suggest purchasing items well in advance if they are for a special occasion or are needed by a certain date. I cannot make guarantees for delivery by a certain date. If you are in the USA, typical shipping time is 7-10 days. Sometimes packages get held up in customs for a longer time.

How long from the time of purchase does it take to ship the item?

I usually ship within 2-3 days of receiving orders. The total length of time for the item to arrive is out of my control.

Do you offer local pick up in Calgary?

Yes, there is the option for Local YYC pick up at the checkout in the shop. I am located in NW Calgary. I provide multiple pick up times for you to collect your items. Pickup instructions are listed in the checkout when you select Local YYC pickup.

How do I care for the pottery items I purchased?

All items are stoneware and are dishwasher safe, however I do NOT rate any of my pieces as microwave, freezer or oven safe. Hand washing will provide less wear and tear on the piece, however it’s not required. Ensure you are always washing and cleaning your pottery items thoroughly between each use.

Do not place items in extreme cold or hot environments such as an oven or a freezer. This could cause the clay or glaze to crack or break over time. Discard any pottery items that show cracks in the glaze know as crazing. This can compromise the food safety of an item. Again, Items are NOT rated as microwave safe.

What types of Glaze do you use?

I purchase most of my glazes from commercial glaze manufacturing companies such as Mayco, Coyote, Duncan and PSH. They are all rated as food safe when fired properly. Sometimes I also make my own glazes, however they never contain lead.

Do you take custom orders?

No, I do not accept custom orders or requests.
