Shipping Info
What Countries do you ship to?
Currently I ship throughout Canada, most of the USA and the United Kingdom. You will receive a tracking number when your order ships.
Duties, tariffs and taxes for countries outside of Canada are additional to the shipping cost that I charge in my shop and are collected by the shipping broker that delivers your package. (UPS, FEDEX, etc.) This means you’ll get an email from the shipping company requesting payment of those fees prior to delivery. See below for more detailed information on shipping to specific countries.
Shipments to the USA
As of August 29, 2025, shipping items from Canada to the US changed significantly. The previous de minimis exemption allowed low-value shipments (under US$800) to enter the U.S. duty-free and without formal customs entry. Now, the de minimis exemption has been removed and all packages that enter the US must go through a formal customs process. During this process it is determined if the package is exempt of from duty due to CUSMA certification or if it will have a 35% tariff charged on the item.
CUSMA Certified product
My handmade ceramics are within CUSMA guidelines, therefore should be exempt from the 35% tariff charge recently implemented by the US government. Every package that I ship to the US includes a CUSMA certification document for customs.
Prior to these new guidelines being implemented, I was able to select the least expensive shipping option that did not include brokerage fees. This was because of the de minimis exemption and the allowance of shipments to enter the U.S. without formal customs entry. As of August 29, every package requires formal customs entry, and I must select shipping options that include brokerage fees. All shipping prices have been updated in my shop to include those brokerage fees.
Shipments to the United Kingdom
Information regarding tax and duty that you may have to pay on items you purchase from my shop can be found on the UK government website. I’ve provided the link to that website below. All taxes and duties are additional to the shipping fees that I charge and are collected by the shipping company upon entry to the UK.
I will not refund shipping costs on orders that are returned due to rejected or unpaid import duties and taxes. There is also a 5% re-stocking charge that will not be refunded if the order is returned due to unpaid duties and taxes.
How long from the time of purchase does it take to package and ship the item?
I usually ship within 2-3 days of receiving orders. The total length of time for the item to arrive is out of my control. It is dependent on the shipping provider and customs.
My package is taking much longer to arrive than expected.
Most packages arrive within 4-7 days within Canada, depending on your location. I suggest purchasing items well in advance if they are for a special occasion or are needed by a certain date. I cannot make guarantees for delivery by a certain date.
If you are in the USA, typical shipping time is 7-10 days. Sometimes packages get held up in customs for a longer time, especially with the new customs requirements.
If you are in the UK, typical shipping time is 7-10 days.
